Bourne, Defender, and Right Kind, produced by 5L Red Angus, have been our primary herd sires for the past several years. Their steers have performed well in the feedlot and we retain heifers as replacements. We also like the easy fleshing ability of his heifers.

BUTTERFAT COWS

In addition to our regular herd, we also have a small herd of cows that produce high butterfat. Out of these cows is where we produce not only the bulls we retain, but also our sale bulls. These cattle require less maintenance and care, as well as produce a larger weaning weight. Recently we have exposed these cows to Bourne and Defender, both of which also come from the 5L Red Angus Genetics. We have intentions of exposing them in Fall 2019 to Real Deal.
